Position Summary

The Executive – Technology Transfer is responsible for supporting the transfer of products, processes, and technologies from R&D to commercial manufacturing sites and between manufacturing facilities. The role ensures seamless scale-up, process validation, process optimization, and successful commercialization of products while maintaining compliance with quality, regulatory, and safety standards.


Key Responsibilities

Technology Transfer & Process Scale-Up

  • Execute technology transfer activities for new products from R&D to manufacturing.
  • Coordinate process scale-up activities and monitor trials during exhibit, validation, and commercial batches.
  • Review product development documents, batch manufacturing records, and technical transfer packages.
  • Support preparation and execution of technology transfer protocols and reports.
  • Ensure accurate transfer of critical process parameters (CPPs) and critical quality attributes (CQAs).

Manufacturing Support

  • Provide technical support to production teams during scale-up and commercial manufacturing.
  • Troubleshoot process-related issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Monitor process performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate with production, QA, QC, engineering, and supply chain teams to ensure successful product launches.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Prepare, review, and maintain technology transfer documentation in compliance with GMP requirements.
  • Support preparation of process validation protocols, reports, and regulatory documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with internal quality systems, regulatory guidelines, and customer requirements.
  • Participate in investigations related to deviations, OOS, CAPA, and change controls.

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Work closely with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Regulatory Affairs, and Engineering teams.
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer between development and manufacturing sites.
  • Participate in project review meetings and provide status updates to stakeholders.
  • Support site readiness for new product introductions.

Continuous Improvement

  • Analyze manufacturing data and process trends to improve efficiency and product quality.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction, yield improvement, and process optimization.
  • Participate in Lean, Six Sigma, and operational excellence initiatives.
